Kahani offers a public waitlist and an invitation-only website builder. This policy covers waitlist signups, builder accounts, wedding websites, and guest responses.

Who we are

This site is run by Kahani, based in Seattle, Washington. Questions about this policy or your data go to privacy@kahaniwedding.com.

What we collect

• Email address
• Role and wedding month, if you choose to share them
• For builder accounts: account details, website drafts, photographs, audio, and content you upload or enter
• For wedding websites: event details, guest and household information, invitations, RSVP answers, and notes guests choose to share
• Basic signup context: which page you signed up from, how you found us (utm parameters), and the referring page

Why we collect it

We use this information to operate your workspace, save and publish your website, manage invitations and RSVPs, send account sign-in emails, and administer the waitlist. We do not sell this information or share it with third parties for marketing.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential authentication cookies to keep builder accounts signed in. We do not use advertising pixels or tracking cookies. The waitlist uses the bot protection described below.

Where it's stored

In a Supabase project we control, which acts as our data processor. Supabase hosts the database infrastructure; Kahani decides what is collected and why. The database is hosted in the United States (AWS us-west-1, Northern California).

Netlify hosts the application. Supabase provides account authentication, database storage, and uploaded media. Website previews may load fonts and animation libraries from Google Fonts and content delivery networks.

Drafts, published sites, and media

Draft documents and guest records are restricted to authorized wedding members. Publishing makes the chosen version available at its wedding link. Invitation links give a household access to its own events and responses; keep those links private. Uploaded photographs and audio have unguessable, shareable media URLs, and anyone with one of those URLs can open it.

Bot protection

The waitlist form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated script, is signing up. To do that, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical signals from your browser and device when the form loads and when you submit it. It is used only to stop spam signups, not for advertising or to track you across sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Retention

We keep waitlist entries until Kahani launches and migrates invited accounts, or until you ask us to delete your entry — whichever comes first.

Builder content remains stored for your account until you request its deletion. You can contact us to request an export or removal of your workspace and uploaded media.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email privacy@kahaniwedding.com from the address you signed up with. We'll respond within 30 days.

International visitors

Kahani is based in the United States. If you sign up from elsewhere, your information is stored and processed in the United States.

Children

Kahani isn't directed to anyone under 16. If we learn that someone under 16 has joined the waitlist, we'll delete their entry.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If a change is material, we'll also let people on the waitlist know by email once we send email.
